Have your say on Sackville traffic: What needs to change?
It’s no secret that Sackville is growing — and growing quickly. From new subdivisions to more businesses opening their doors, our community’s steady growth is something to celebrate. But with more people living, working, and visiting Sackville-Cobequid comes one undeniable reality: more cars on our roads.
If you’ve been stuck in traffic trying to get onto the highway during rush hour, waiting at a light that seems impossibly long, or navigating busy intersections that could really use an upgrade, you’re not alone. Traffic congestion in Sackville is already a daily frustration for many residents — and it’s only going to increase if we don’t plan ahead.
Bringing your Sackville traffic concerns to the Nova Scotia government
This July, I’ll be meeting directly with the Minister of Public Works to talk about what our community needs when it comes to transportation infrastructure. From road widening projects, new turning lanes, or improved traffic signals, to safer crosswalks and better connections to nearby communities, there’s a lot on the table.
But I don’t want this to be just my list. I want it to be yours.
What provincial infrastructure improvements matter most to you?
If there’s a specific piece of provincial infrastructure that you think desperately needs an update, I want to hear about it. Whether it’s a stretch of road that’s become a bottleneck, an intersection you consider unsafe, or ideas you have for keeping traffic moving as Sackville grows, your voice is essential.
By sharing your thoughts, you’ll help me bring a stronger, community-driven message directly to the provincial decision makers who oversee our highways, roads, and transportation planning.
