Paul Wozney was elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly as MLA for Sackville-Cobequid in 2024.
He is a member of the Human Resources, Veterans Affairs, and Public Bills Committees, and serves as the Official Opposition Critic for Education and Early Childhood Development, Advanced Education, Labour and Skills, and the Public Service Commission.
Paul is a former schoolteacher and was the 45th president of the Nova Scotia Teachers Union. He served as a Vice President with the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour, representing over 80,000 Nova Scotian unionized workers, and as a Vice President with the Canadian Teachers Federation, representing over 283,000 public school teachers, principals and education staff.
Paul and his wife, Dr. Lori Wozney, PhD, are proud Sackville residents since 2006 raising three children in our community. A rink sports enthusiast, he was a long serving minor hockey coach, and maintains active involvement in ringette as a coach and official.
