PAUL WOZNEY « » : I rise today to recognize a non-profit organization with a history of service dating back to the 1890s, which will soon celebrate the opening of a new facility in Sackville.
Chisholm Services for Children has worked on providing a home away from home for children and youth for over five decades. With a particular focus on intervention, prevention, and permanency planning for children 12 and younger, they work to restore children’s sense of safety and trust in others.
At over six acres, their new space will be home to two four-bedroom homes for children in care. When finished, the property will also house a programming hub and a variety of outdoor therapeutic recreation activities. I ask that all present join me in recognizing the Chisholm Services for Children team. Hope and healing don’t just come from the place that you’re in, but the people around you, and you can’t ask for better people than the folks at Chisholm.
