Red Dress Day

May 5th, is Red Dress Day, meant to bring awareness to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People.

We remember those lives lost. We continue our push to realize the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action, as well as the Calls for Justice made by the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

I attended the Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre‘s No More Stolen Sisters memorial to honour and remember murdered and missing Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit people from Mi’kma’ki.
