PAUL WOZNEY « » : We are fortunate today to welcome Richard Baker, Sandra Pickrell Baker, and Ellisha Baker of the legendary Kaiser’s Subs. They’re with us in the gallery today. I’d like to extend them a warm welcome to the House.
THE SPEAKER « » : Welcome to the House. I’m sure you can’t hear it, but in my seat I can hear a pin drop, and everybody seems to love your subs.

KAISER’S SUBS: 50 YRS. IN BUS. – CONGRATS.
PAUL WOZNEY « » : I rise to congratulate a cornerstone Sackville business on five decades of success. To put all in attendance on notice that you’re seriously missing out if you haven’t yet eaten one of their subs. Sackvillians will know I’m already talking about Kaiser’s. The sub and sandwich staple may be a small shop with just a few hundred square feet of space, but their fame is massive.
The Coast once published an article naming them “the King of Subs,” and the crown fits. In 2024, father-daughter due Rick and Ellisha accepted the Business of the Year Award from the Sackville Business Association, and Kaiser’s is regularly voted Best Sackville Restaurant. Rick has owned Kaiser’s for the past 48 years, and according to his daughter, worked night and day to build the business.
